Deliciously soft and fluffy chocolate chip cruffins perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat!
Ingredients

- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Instant Yeast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Warm Milk (almond or oat milk for dairy-free)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (vegan butter for plant-based)
- 2 large Eggs (or flaxseed eggs)
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar for topping
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk and melted butter; mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the surface. Roll tightly into a log.
- Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place each piece cut-side up into muffin tins.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush cruffins with melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk and vegan butter.
- Flaxseed eggs can be used as an egg substitute.
