Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  9. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  10. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  11. Shape each piece into a bunny by forming a head and two ears.
  12. Place the bunnies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  15. Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon roll bunnies and serve.
